Ask a Psychologist - New Feature!

Ask a Psychologist

I hope you’ve found these newsletters interesting so far. Now, I want to take this further and give you the opportunity to ask me something you’ve always wanted to ask a practising psychologist.

When I’m at a wedding, birthday party, or any other gathering, once strangers find out what I do for a living, I often get questions like:

‘What is the difference between depression and sadness?’

‘What’s the point of therapy?’

‘How did you get into this line of work?’

“Is my dad a narcissist?” So on and so forth.

I enjoy helping people to demystify psychology and who better to do that for than folks who follow this newsletter.

So, starting today, you can email me your questions and within 5 days, I will get back to you with a tailored answer.

I only have a few considerations for you to bear in mind.

  • You may have a question that would be useful for everyone! If it meets that criteria, I may publish a public newsletter based around your question. Any personal details will be completely anonymised of course. However, if you’re really against the idea of me sharing your question, please signify this in your email.

  • This is not therapy. Whilst I offer personal therapy, that is not what these emails will be for. Hopefully you find it to be a valuable resource alongside personal therapy or any other reading you might have done.

  • If you feel like you need urgent help, please get in touch with your local Accident and Emergency service and/or crisis lines in your area.

With all that being said, you should be able to reply to this newsletter and I’ll receive them.
In case there are any issues with that, here’s my secure email address: [email protected]

I look forward to hearing from you.
